[Film Screening] The Fog of War

Description
The Fog of War
Eleven lessons from the life of Robert S. McNamara

The Fog of War is a retrospective on the life of Robert McNamara, who served as Secretary of Defense to US Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. An Errol Morris film and set to an original score by Philip Glass, the documentary combines an interview with McNamara with archival footage and documents to illustrate lessons he gleaned from his experience as a man in positions of influence.

This screening is organised in conjunction with the exhibitions “Who wants to remember a war?” and LINES: War Drawings and Posters from the Ambassador Dato’ N. Parameswaran Collection, which features posters, woodcuts and drawings from the French phase of the Indochina war of resistance against the Americans, and drawings and sketches of life and people at the frontlines.
